Introduction

Synthetic Osteocondutive Scaffold
The result of extensive research ßGran™ (pronounced beta-gran) synthetic osteoconductive scaffold is a three dimensional ultra-porous structure, constructed of highly pure particles of resorbable ß tri-calcium phosphate.

ßGran’s interconnected porosity is controlled to provide a three dimensional scaffold that supports vascularisation and early cellattachment. The chemistry, surface area and material volume are balanced to achieve a physiologic response.

Mimicking the geometry and chemistry of human bone matrix in this way allows ßGran’s scaffold to function as an osteoconductive template which is replaced by regenerating bone.

ßGran™ is osteoconductive
The interconnected porous geometry of ßGran™ is controlled to allow rapid vascularisation. The material surface is optimised to assist cell attachment and to function as a template to guide bone regeneration.
ßGran™ is resorbed physiologically
The microporous surface of ßGran™ is optimised for early cell attachment. The highly pure ß-tri calcium phosphate responds to the osteoclastic mediated resorption at a physiologic rate.
ßGran™ is entirely synthetic
ßGran™ is manufactured using pharmaceutical grade elements to exclude any possibility of allogenic / xenogenic contamination. A proprietary manufacturing process, strictly controlled by an ISO 13485 quality assurance system, ensures a highly pure and consistent material.
